By choosing to enjoy a stay in the New Forest with your horse, you can both benefit from exploring the endless countryside and breathtaking coastal tracks that are on offer!
The renowned New Forest ponies have been grazing on the pastures here for thousands of years, and riding through the ancient and un-spoilt woodlands amongst them provides an unforgettable experience. The ever-changing backdrop of the New Forest is stunning at all times of the year so, from trotting through bluebell filled woodlands in summer, to cantering under a golden canopy of leaves during the autumn months, you wont be disappointed.
Since its launch in 1920, the New Forest Show is an annual event that celebrates all things agricultural, where horse-riding and showjumping feature heavily. Held in Brockenhurst each July, this event is a fantastic attraction for horse lovers to attend, and is extremely family-friendly with a packed, and varied, line-up for all ages to enjoy.
The New Forest is also home to many great riding schools, so if you would like to develop your skills, or share your love of horse riding with friends or family, the hundreds of acres of safe tracks within the New Forest makes it the perfect holiday destination for all abilities.
Our selection of horse friendly accommodation options each offer their own individual touches to make sure both you, and your horse, are as comfortable and happy as possible. Ample grazing, secure paddocks, access to the open forest and on-site livery are just a few of the features available and we are sure you will find your perfect equine escape here!
