Our luxurious Shepherds Hut is situated on the outskirts of the village of Sway which is in the New Forest National Park and only 5 miles from the coast. So a great location to enjoy both beach and forest.
Our 21ft long Shepherds Hut has all the facilities for a truly great Glamping experience - it even featuires a Scanduinavian hot hub - for your exclusive use! Guests also love the outdoor decking area with gravity loungers and bistro table and chairs, BBQ and fire pit to sit round in the evening toasting marshmallows over the camp fire. (Marshmallows, Wood, charcoal are all provided). The hut has amazing views over farmland and the Avon water valley. With big panoramic views and large skies to watch stars at night and birds of prey during the day. We also get deer, foxes, owls and bats.
The hut can accommodate up to 4 people. Ideally 2 adults and 2 children (please note bunk beds are unsuitable for under 3's). A en-suite shower room with flushing Victorian style toilet, stone hand basin and monsoon rain shower provides all the comforts. The hut benefits from underfloor heating and is fully insulated and wooden double glazed windows keeps out the wild weather in the Winter seasons. Separate heaters are provided for colder times along with an all night electric blanket (temperature controlled).
There is a small kitchenette with built in microwave, ceramic hob, fridge and butlers sink. Also Nespresso coffee pod machine, kettle and toaster. USB plug and 3 double sockets and speaker for your smart phone to play music through.
A breakfast hamper will be waiting on your arrival with a selection of cereals, milk, orange juice, eggs, jams, butter, croissants, and tea, coffee and sugar are available.
The hut has its own key safe box by huts door and the code will be provided on booking confirmation email. Parking is on the gravel car parking space just outside the hut. Access to the hut is through our livery yard. So care must be taken whilst driving in this area as there will be horses and people around.
We are also 5 miles from the pretty Georgian town of Lymington with its yachting marinas, bistros, bars, boutique shopping and a popular Saturday street market, or you can catch the ferry for a short trip to the Isle of Wight.
Nearest beach is Milford-on-sea (5 miles away) and the Keyhaven Marshes, which you can walk out along the spit to Hurst Castle. There are plenty of beach cafes and restaurants in Milford which also has a quaint little seaside village.
