Privacy, Cookies etc.
Cookies
1. A cookie is a small piece of information that is placed on your computer when you visit certain websites. Find out more about the use of cookies on
http://www.cookiecentral.com.
We use the Google Analytics (GA) cookie to:
(1) remember you when you visit this website to build up a profile of how you and other users use the website.
This allows us to, for example, analyse the relevance of content, optimise layout and navigation etc.
(2) make our website work as efficiently as possible.
It is thought that GA is used by over 50% of all websites on the internet. Many of the
others use a similar alternative.
Most browsers allow you to turn off cookies. To do this look at the “help” menu on your browser. Switching off cookies may restrict your use of the website and/or delay or affect the way in which it operates.
You can opt out of GA here:
https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
IF YOU do not wish to have cookies placed on your computer by this website, and you do not
wish to "opt out" or "turn off cookies" as described above, please leave this website now.
2. Third party advertising cookies
Most of the non-accommodation advertisements you see on this website are generated by third parties.
Some of these third parties generate their own cookies (or web beacons) to track how many people have seen a particular advertisement (or use the services of third parties to do this), and to track how many people have seen it more than once. These cookies cannot be used to identify an individual; they can only be used for statistical purposes, for example, in providing you with advertisements that are more relevant to your interests. Some of the information gleaned from third party cookies will be aggregated with other anonymous information for statistical purposes. The third party companies that generate these cookies have their own, very strict, privacy policies but we don't have access to these cookies; other than allowing them to be served, we have no role to play in these cookies at all.
If you would like to disable "third party" cookies generated by advertisers or providers of targeted advertising services, you can turn them off by going to the third party's website and getting them to generate a one-time "no thanks" cookie that will stop any further cookies being written to your machine. Here are links to the two main third party advertising platforms we use, each of which
have instructions on how to do this:

You can also "Opt Out" on Google directly; see http://www.google.co.uk/privacy/ads/
For more information on Google Interest-based advertising see http://www.google.com/ads/preferences/html/about.html
You can also visit the trade body representing these advertising companies for more information on how to opt out of these cookies:

Direct newforestbedbreakfast.co.uk advertisers
Adverts on the Accommodation pages of newforestbedbreakfast.co.uk are contracted with
newforestbedbreakfast.co.uk directly.
We simply hold the minimum data necessary for basic standard UK business accounting. This data is held
"offline".
We never disclose this data to anyone.
Third party wholesaler advert content
Adverts placed by Google AdSense/AdWords in their standard boxes are beyond our control and we cannot vouch for them. These same ads appear on many other websites via the same Google AdSense/AdWords system. We have absolutely no idea what appears in these ads. Google are supposed to ensure that they are relevant to the content of the page on which they appear, if possible. They are also supposed to ensure that the ad content is legal and has no offensive content.
If you see any bothersome or inappropriate ads, please contact us, giving the
exact URL of the offending ad and from which newforestbedbreakfast.co.uk page it came. The easiest way to do
this is to Copy/Paste the URL from the address bar of your browser.
We will endeavour to block the offending advertiser.
