| hCard introduced |

The new hCard structured data markup has been introduced on the Complete List page.
Names, Addresses, telephone numbers etc are formatted in such a way that spiders and other aggregators can retrieve this information, automatically convert them to vCards, and use them in any vCard application or service.
Google is currently experimenting with this technology.
hCard has been introduced on this website as an additional service to both advertisers and users. It adds to the
functionality and future-proofs the directory. |
| Website Content Editing Tool |

For all website owners who want to update and edit the content of their website themselves. The new Content
Editing system JBCMS can be added to virtually any website. Pre-defined areas of a website can be edited
without the risk of messing up the rest of the site!
A simple login leads to a wysiwyg (what you see is what you get) editor similar to MS Word. You can add, remove
or edit items, and even add upload photos.
A small outlay can give you the freedom to fully market your business with no service charges. Add news items, special
offers, maintain an availability calendar etc.
Update 29/11/09: As a result of recent, industry-wide, Apache server upgrades, JBCMS now requires a dedicated
or virtual server. Existing websites can be quickly and easily transferred, but the annual hosting fee is likely to be
larger.

| Special Offers now on front page |
23/10/09 :
The Special Offers page is now well established, and proved a great success earlier in the year when the the recession
took hold. Many B&Bs took advantage of this additional special advertising position and continued attracting
guests despite the general drop in NF visitor numbers.
The introduction of random listing has now made it possible to feature Special Offers on the front page.
Depending on the viewers screen size and browser configuration, the top 2 or 3 positions appear on the landing screen,
with the rest just a short vertical scroll below. Every time the page is displayed, the order of placement
changes, giving each advertiser an equal time near the top - on the landing page.
All Special Offers will now feature on the main Offers page AND on the front page.
Offers cost just £25 per 12 weeks.

| Random Display introduced |
20/10/09 :
All B&B lists on this website are now displayed in a random order. This means all advertisers get an equal
chance of appearing on the page landing screen.
Every time a page featuring a B&B list is loaded or refreshed in a browser, the placement of the entries changes
in a completely random pattern. |
| Menu upgraded |
24/10/09 :
The main navigation menu on the left hand side has been improved. Each item now has a full width link area with
alternating rollover colour.
The "B&Bs with Special Features" section has been moved from the centre of the page to a new expandable
menu item. This features links directly to advertisers websites. |
